There’s an old saying that good things take time. And we’ve taken our time in developing Semble – we’ve taken the time to make sure we create the safest, best, most intuitive technology on offer so that when you use it, you can do so with confidence.
Following a successful pilot that began in November last year, we are now look forward to offering Semble to as many Kiwis as possible in 2015. From the get go, you'll be able to use Semble on 2degrees, Spark and Vodafone mobile networks. There will be a selection of ASB and BNZ credit and debit cards available in Semble and you will be able to use them at any New Zealand retailer with a contactless-enabled payment terminal.
Soon, Semble will bring together many more of the cards and services you use every day. We are working with a range of organisations so that their services can be included in Semble, including popular retail chains, major loyalty programmes, airlines and public transport providers. The possibilities are exciting. One day, Semble might even include your car key!
To get started, you'll need a Semble Ready NFC-enabled Android phone and a Semble Ready SIM. We will publish a list of phones that can use Semble a little closer to launch date (watch this space!). You'll be able to download Semble from Google Play for free, set up a Semble profile and you'll be ready to go. In the meantime, we're working on having iPhone Semble Ready too.
