Semble will use the NFC antenna inside your phone to send your encrypted data securely to the payment terminal.
NFC, or Near Field Communication is short-range (less than 4cm) wireless technology that provides a method of communication between two electronic devices (for example between a mobile phone and a payment terminal).
In order for NFC features to be available on smartphones (such as for making payments), your phone must contain an NFC antenna. NFC is a technology that is built upon radio frequency identification (RFID), which allows one electronic device to send radio waves to another. At its most basic level, NFC is a standard for a very short-wave radio transmission.
