Security

Super secure.

Semble has been created by New Zealand’s major banks, the country's mobile network providers and Paymark, who processes the majority of your EFTPOS transactions. Together, we’ve been handling millions of electronic financial transactions, including yours, for decades. Convenient, secure and reliable. Just the way we like it.

The secure element.

Semble stores your personal information on a secure element contained within the Semble Ready secure SIM supplied by your mobile network provider. This secure element is encrypted to the same global security standards as your physical chip cards. It is an established and proven model, certified to comply with the highest global security standards.

Security Code protected.

You can set Security Code access to open Semble. The 5-digit Semble Security Code gives you an additional  layer of security over your traditional wallet or purse. Using  the built-in screen lock on your phone, then gives you further protection.

We respect your privacy.

The personal details you provide when you register for Semble will be tightly guarded. They're used by your mobile network provider and  service providers to identify you should you need assistance with Semble, to identify if a product or service offer would be of value to you (if you opt into this service) or to send notifications or service messages from Semble. This information will be not sold or rented to external third parties (other than those specified for the purposes specified) without your permission. View our privacy policy for more info.

Lost or stolen phone.

When you start using Semble, you'll need to give the same amount of care to your phone as you do your wallet or purse today. If you lose your phone, you'll need to contact your mobile network provider and service provider(s) to remotely disable Semble and your bank cards.
