Watch this space! We'll be adding new banks to Semble soon. In the meantime why not get a Semble Ready card from ASB or BNZ.
Give your bank a call and they will take care of this for you.
After loading an ASB card in Semble, here's what to do to set up your PIN:
1. Log in to the ASB Mobile Banking app
2. Click on 'Cards' from the left hand menu
3. Select your Semble card from the list
4. Click on 'Update PIN'
5. Follow the on screen prompts to create a PIN
The security processes mean it can take around 10 minutes to add your bank cards to Semble. While you’re waiting for the message telling you that your bank card is ready to be loaded, you can still use your phone.
Yes. To add MasterCard or Visa cards from ASB and BNZ, Semble will take you to their secure online/internet banking site. Simply log-in using your existing details and select the card/s you'd like to load. If you aren't already registered, contact your bank.
You only need to enter your card PIN if the payment is over $80. This amount is set by MasterCard and Visa, and is standard for all tap & go transactions in New Zealand.
Some retailers do not allow contactless transactions using Visa Debit cards. If the payment terminal accepts payWave or PayPass transactions, but your Visa Debit card is not working, check with the cashier if they accept Visa Debit.
If you're an ASB customer, and your card is available in Semble, then you can each add your cards into Semble.
If you're a BNZ customer, and your card is available in Semble, each of you must use a different login when signing into BNZ’s Add Cards page through the Semble app. This is referred to as an access number with BNZ. If you don’t have separate logins, one of you will need to register online to get a new access number.
Please speak to your bank for more info.
Your bank will issue a new card which will arrive via a notification in Semble. Open the notification in your Semble inbox and tap “Load Card”.
This information is held on your Semble Ready SIM, which is encrypted to the same global security standards as the chip on your plastic banking cards. No personal banking data is stored in Semble.
